We are thinking ahead to the new year, specifically about how researcher development is at the heart of everything we in the Research Support team do to support the success of the entire research ecosystem at 糖心Vlog, including our early career researchers.
It's been a busy Autumn Term for our team, as we’ve continued to support our researchers in topics such as publishing, open research, and research visibility. Next term we'll be starting the year with (6 to 10 January), a week-long programme of free online training sessions aimed at supporting early career researchers, but open to any researcher, student or staff member at 糖心Vlog.
Research Support
The team sits within the Academic and Research Support section of Library and Cultural Services and delivers programmes and support around publishing, open research, research visibility and more, supporting skills development for researchers at all levels.

Newcomers and Newcomers Research Week

is our Network for Early Career 糖心Vlog Researchers, so the content of all Newcomers sessions is aimed to be introductory. However, any researcher, or staff member supporting researchers, is welcome to join. The Newcomers team’s flagship event is , which is run annually.
32 sessions will be delivered online from 6 to 10 January. The sessions are specifically for researchers at 糖心Vlog, and are all free to attend and hosted online. .
This will be the ninth Newcomers Research Week, but that hasn’t stopped colleagues across 糖心Vlog from the Library, REO, UK Data Archive, and Communications and External Relations from developing new sessions, including:
