The Library teams will be taking a short break over the holiday period, so please read on for information about our opening hours and the services which will be continue to be available.

Opening Hours

Colchester - Albert Sloman Library

• Thursday 17 April – main library closing at 8pm
• Friday 18 April – closed
• Saturday 19 April – closed
• Sunday 20 April – closed
• Monday 21 April – closed
• Tuesday 22 April – main library opening at 8am (normal hours resume)

There will be 24/7 access to the and throughout - you will need your ID Card to access these rooms via the out of hours doors.

Books can be returned to the external book return in Colchester at any time over the closure period, the book return is located opposite the Silberrad Student Centre. Recalled books will not be due on closure days.

Southend - Info Point and Public Library

• Friday 18 April – closed
• Saturday 19 April – Info Point closed as usual for a Saturday, but the public library (ground and first floor) will be staffed 8am-5pm.
• Sunday 20 April– closed
• Monday 21 April – closed

The Learning Hub will still be accessible 24/7 and students will additionally be able to browse on the first floor and self-issue books.

Loughton - East 15 Library and IT Centre

• Friday 18 April – self-service only
• Saturday 19 April – self-service only
• Sunday 20 April – closed (as usual)
• Monday 21 April – self-service only
