A new wave of social movements have begun to mobilise around the topics of climate change, biodiversity and ecological issues, the most famous of which is . However this is not the only social movement, and their vision and tactics have been hotly contested. So, what is the alternative? How can a social movement create democratic changes from the grassroots?
