Language and the future

Join us for a fascinating series of talks and discover how language really works. Explore the sounds and creation of words, learn how we use language to express and create identity, all in a unique gallery setting in the heart of Colchester.

Language is all around us. We use language to connect with others, study, send work e-mails, tell jokes, and convey our deepest thoughts but how does it really work? And what does this mean in a constantly more global culture?

This series of talks will be lead by Dr Kyle Jerro from the Department of Language and Linguistics. The event will run from 12pm - 3pm on Saturday 9 November at the in Colchester. A free buffet will be provided from 12pm by .
