Shortlist success in Student Nursing Times Awards 2017

Our has been shortlisted for five awards at this year鈥檚 Student Nursing Times Awards.

These national awards celebrate the achievements and accomplishments of student nurses, higher education providers and placement partners.

  • has been shortlisted for the Return to Practice Course of the Year. In this category judges require the entry to demonstrate that their educational institution is outstanding.
  • has been shortlisted for Educator of the Year award. This award recognises an exceptional teacher who can motivate, inspire and enthuse students.

The three entries shortlisted for the Teaching Innovation of the Year are:

  • 鈥淒ragon den鈥 - an approach developed by which seeks to improve students鈥 understanding of the research process and the methodological approaches and issues that underpin quality studies.
  • The Work-Based Learning approach to pre-registration nursing enables Foundation degree graduates to undertake a shortened pre-registration nursing pathway and qualify as a Registered Nurse. This programme has already been given formal recognition by Lord Willis within the Shape of Caring Review.
  • The MSc and BSc co-joined pre-registration nursing programme which an innovative programme, maximising the number of modules that are taught to the MSc and BSc students together.
