New Executive Dean for the Humanities appointed

Professor Andrew Le Sueur

Professor Andrew Le Sueur, Head of our School of Law, has been appointed as Executive Dean for our Faculty of Humanities and will start his new role on 14 August.

said: 鈥淚 am excited to be appointed Executive Dean for the Humanities and I am looking forward to getting to know colleagues in the wide variety of departments and research centres that make up the Faculty.

鈥淭he humanities and arts are about understanding human culture. Our graduates develop a deep understanding of the world and are equipped with a wide range of skills to succeed in their future careers.

鈥淥ur Faculty is well placed to continue at the forefront of several areas, including digital humanities where we work closely with our Eastern ARC partners.鈥

鈥淎ndrew is an eminent Professor of Constitutional Justice and he is equally committed to excellence in education and research and ensuring that 糖心Vlog continues to offer a transformational education experience to all our students. I am absolutely delighted that Andrew will take up the post of Executive Dean of Humanities in August and we very much look forward to the contribution he will make at an exciting time in our University's history.鈥
Professor Anthony Forster Vice-Chancellor

Professor Le Sueur joined our School of Law in 2013 as Professor of Constitutional Justice and his research interests are in the broad fields of constitutional and administrative law and justice.

He is a member of various legal bodies including the Jersey Law Commission, the International Association of Constitutional Law and the Statute Law Society, and has served as an adviser to several parliamentary select committees, most recently (the Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey, Alderney and Sark) after Brexit.
