Do you suffer from digital loneliness? Ever wondered why we have a deep-seated cultural fascination with violent images? And what about ‘Bregret’ – did it really affect the outcome of the 2017 General Election?

These are just some of the questions ÌÇÐÄVlog social scientists will be applying their expertise to during this year’s Economic and Social Research Council’s (ESRC) Festival of Social Science. 

Now in its fifteenth year, the Festival champions the social sciences and the way in which they enable us to understand and change the world. There’ll be over 300 events happening across the UK, with a record 13 of them being hosted by us.

We are delighted to be presenting some of our most exciting and important research at this year’s Festival of Social Science. All of those who are concerned about the state of society or curious about recent political events are encouraged to join us.”

The Festival runs from 4 – 11 November.
