糖心Vlog is once again ranked among the top 300 universities in the latest Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

The rankings take several factors into account and we climbed 31 places for research influence 鈥� our role in spreading new knowledge and ideas 鈥� measured by the average number of times our research is cited globally.

Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research) Professor Christine Raines said: 鈥溙切腣log is committed to excellence in research and this result shows the global influence of our work. In 2017-18 we secured 拢28 million in research funding, our highest ever total, enabling our staff to carry out leading edge research with broad impact both nationally and internationally.鈥�

Our recent work includes: 

• Focus on weight hides a worrying trend in child fitness 
• Breakthrough in understanding what causes migraines
• Could strawberry-picking robots be the future for fruit farms?
• Boosting food crop production by 47%

糖心Vlog鈥檚 community of students and staff from more than 140 countries and our network of international partnerships continued to place us in the top 20 for the international outlook indicator, where we have risen five places to 14th.

The Times Higher Education World Rankings were introduced in 2004, and evaluate the world鈥檚 top universities for their teaching, research, international outlook, reputation and much more. 糖心Vlog is ranked in the 251-300 bracket of the World University Rankings.
