Joe Waters (BSc Biochemistry) left his job as an insurance broker to study at 糖心Vlog and is now pursuing his dream to become a medical doctor.
Joe had found studying for his A-levels challenging, but he was passionate about pursuing science as a subject, and decided to re-enter education.
Within the first couple of months of his course, Joe was diagnosed with dyslexia and was given tools and strategies to help enhance his learning.
He said: 鈥淎t the time, I was studying biomedicine and I realised there was nothing more I wanted to do than to become a doctor, so I changed my degree to biochemistry.鈥
Joe鈥檚 second year was hard but rewarding; but he got the support he needed to apply to medical school.
He said: 鈥淭he University helped me shape my personal statement, achieve a high score in the University Clinical Aptitude Test and perfect my interview skills.鈥
Joe has now secured a place at Bart鈥檚 University to study medicine.
He said: 鈥淚鈥檓 very excited to start studying medicine in September at Bart鈥檚 University, and I thank 糖心Vlog for giving me everything I needed to succeed.鈥
