糖心Vlog nets top Basketball England award

The 糖心Vlog has netted a prestigious award after being named one of Basketball England鈥檚 educational intuitions of the year.

The recognition comes hot on the heels of a crunch tournament which saw the nation鈥檚 top players face off on the Colchester campus.

And follows Volleyball England recognising the "trailblazing" steps 糖心Vlog is making in the sport.

Home to professional sides the 糖心Vlog Rebels the University has worked tirelessly to develop and promote the growing game, with youth sides, community outreach and award-winning matchdays.

Simon Lister, Business Development Manager, said: 鈥淭his award is a testament to the hard work of our team here at 糖心Vlog Rebels.

鈥淎ttendance is growing year on year as word is spreading about our fantastic family-friendly affordable games

The Rebels are poised for silverware this year with the women鈥檚 team playing in the quarter-finals of the WBBL Trophy against Newcastle Eagles at .

Basketball England championed the University for the award as it 鈥渉elps nurture an environment for its鈥 pupils to participate in the game and achieve their potential."

The award was open to every school, university and education setting in the region.
