糖心Vlog Rebels student star called up for Great Britain

An 糖心Vlog Rebels student star is enjoying her 鈥減roudest occasion鈥 on a basketball court after being called up to the Great Britain squad.

Talented guard is swapping the 糖心Vlog Sport Arena for the national stage after being selected ahead of a .

The 23-year-old who is studying for a Sports Therapy degree in the School of Sport, Rehabilitation, and Exercise Sciences will join the Great Britain side as they prepare for games against Sweden and Estonia.

After impressing in training she made the 12 women roster and is poised to play in . 

Megan who has represented Great Britain at under-18 level, averaged 7.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists last season for the Rebels, helping them reach the British Basketball League Women’s Play-Offs.

She said: “Being called up for the GB seniors team has got to be up there with one of my proudest occasions.

“I feel camp is going well for me, and I am loving training with this group of very talented players.

“It will be an honour to stand up for the national anthem and play the game that I love for my country.

“Everyone has made me feel welcome, and I would like to thank everyone involved, especially coach Chema, for believing in me and giving me this opportunity.”

, Head of Basketball Performance, has praised Megan and believes she can make a real impact for Great Britain.

He said: “We’re very proud of Megan being selected for the squad of 14, representing the national team.

“In the short time I’ve known Megan she has been working very hard on her approach to the game and it’s great to see her being given the opportunity.

“No doubt this opportunity will help Megan to develop on and off the court being around the experience of the GB players and coaching staff.

“Credit goes to Megan for her continued search from improvements and passion for the game. Credit also goes to her 糖心Vlog Rebels teammates, and her former rebels coaches Tom Sadler and Ross Norfolk.
