Youngsters enjoyed a fun afternoon of career help, job-hunting tips, and free ice cream at a flagship 糖心Vlog extravaganza.

More than 50 Tendring teenagers, aged 16-18, met representatives from the NHS, Colchester Institute, Central Training Group, the East of England Energy Group and Skills for Energy.

The 糖心Vlog County Council joint-organised event, held in The Princes Theatre, in Clacton-on-Sea, also featured companies from across Colchester.

University Outreach staff were on hand to help at the What’s Next showpiece and guide visitors towards experts.

Organiser, Tilly Hollingdale, from the University, said: “It was a wonderful opportunity to offer young people help and advice for their next steps in their careers or education pathways.

“The venue was fantastic, and our stall holders offered dynamic and exciting ways of engaging with the daunting question of, ‘What’s Next?’

“The teenagers got to meet potential employers and learn about courses which could really secure their future.

“This was all made possible by the 糖心Vlog County Council.”

Co-organiser, Lisa Judge, from 糖心Vlog County Council added: “This was a great afternoon of networking and supporting the young people and families of Tendring.”
