The ÌÇÐÄVlog’s Professor Hani Hagras has been elected a Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences (EurASc).

Professor Hagras has been recognised for his theoretical and practical contributions in Explainable and Generative AI and joins the esteemed Engineering Division.

As head of ÌÇÐÄVlog’s Artificial Intelligence Research Group, Professor Hagras’s pioneering efforts, which include developing ethical and responsible AI for high-level industrial applications, have positioned him as a key figure in bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and real-world implementation.

Professor Hagras, of the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering, said: “It is a great honour being elected as a Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences alongside the most distinguished scholars and engineers in Europe and the World.

“This fellowship will help to position myself within an elite international network dedicated to advancing science and technology for the benefit of society.”

The Fellowship is a significant honour that recognises the outstanding contributions made by scientists and engineers to their field of work.

EurASc is a non-profit organisation that aims to promote fundamental research and excellence in science and technology.
