Biography

Hussain is an assistant professor/lecturer in Finance and Accounting at the ÌÇÐÄVlog, Southend. He holds a Bachelor in Accounting with distinction, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance with distinction (University of Punjab) and a PhD in Business Management with a specialization in Finance (University of Minho, Portugal). Hussain's research explores contemporary issues at the intersection of finance, accounting, and management. His work has been featured in world-leading and internationally excellent academic journal outlets (ABS 4 or ABS 3) including the British Journal of Management, Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions, and Money, International Review of Financial Analysis, International Journal of Finance & Economics, ABACUS, Journal of Business Research, Business Strategy and the Environment, Journal of Environmental Management, amongst several others. He is an ad-hoc reviewer for different leading journals. Hussain is active in participating and presenting work at international conferences such as the European Financial Management Association (EFMA), Portuguese Finance Network (PFN), and European International Business Academy (EIBA). He is the winner of Executive Dean Funding (ÌÇÐÄVlog) of 2023 and merit scholarships (University of Punjab). He welcomes proposals from potential PhD students with innovative and ambitious projects.
