Biography
Founder and Director of the 鈥楥entre for Trauma, Asylum and Refugees鈥, founder and Course Director of the MA and PhD in 'Refugee Care'. A member of the 鈥楬uman Rights Centre鈥, of the 鈥楾ransitional Justice Network鈥 and of the 鈥楢rmed Conflict and Crisis Hub鈥 all at the 糖心Vlog. Honorary Clinical Psychologist and Systemic Family Psychotherapist at the Tavistock Clinic. He is a practising Clinical Psychologist, Family Therapist and Jungian Psychoanalyst, who also has been involved in the training and supervision of specialists in these three spheres. As consultant to the United Nations and other organisations, he has been working with refugees, tortured persons, trafficked people and other survivors of political violence and disasters in many countries. He lectures and offers specialist trainings internationally and his writings have appeared in 18 languages. Recently, he was given Awards by the 'European Family Therapy Association' for Life-time 鈥極utstanding contribution to the field of Family Therapy and Systemic Practice鈥, by the 糖心Vlog for the 'Best International Research Impact鈥, by two Mexican Foundations for his 鈥榚xceptional work with vulnerable children and families in Mexico鈥, and by the 'International Association for Jungian Studies' the 'C.G. Jung 2022 Award' for Life-time contribution in Jungian scholarship. 聽 In December 2023, Professor Papadopoulos was made a Fellow of the British Psychological Society.
