Biography
I specialise in System Design, Numerical Simulations and Data Analysis. IEEE Senior Member, author of over 50 publications (full publication list available at http://andreatassi.uk/publication.html), recipient of several IEEE awards on Self-Organising Network optimisation for fixed and mobile mmWave systems (IEEE Best Paper Award at the SigTelCom 2017, the IEEE Popularity Award at the IEEE VNC 2018 and the IEEE Best Paper Award at the IEEE VTC-Spring 2019). Leader in the specification of multiple dynamic scheduling solutions for network traffic in track-to-train mmWave systems (backhauling). Lead software architect of award-winning simulation frameworks for large-scale heterogeneous networks. Lead software architect of testbeds demonstrating high-performance network traffic aggregation solutions for Linux systems. Leading the specification activity on Cybersecurity -- focussing on Secure Boot, monitoring software vulnerabilities and limiting the impact of zero-day vulnerabilities. Served as lead communication systems and data architect, overseeing the day-to-day research and development phases of wireless communication, networking and edge-computing solutions in Innovate UK projects -- the platform I developed builds upon OpenAirlnterface, a novel low-latency ETSI's ITS-G5 stack for Cooperative Intelligent Transportation Systems, and it has been deployed in the centre of Bristol, UK.
