From exploring the economic impact of cow social networks to the mathematical modelling of brain evolution to improve patient care; from solving scheduling problems at the Port of Felixstowe to leading the data revolution at the heart of London鈥檚 鈥淭ech City鈥� and the University鈥檚 pioneering work on Big Data 鈥� our research explores issues that have a real impact on people鈥檚 everyday lives and the world around us. This was recognised in the recent Research Excellence Framework, with 92.3% of our mathematical sciences research output recognised as world-leading or internationally excellent (REF 2021).
