International Women's Day

8 March is International Women鈥檚 Day (IWD) and we鈥檙e running a week鈥檚 worth of events to challenge stereotypes, fight bias, broaden perceptions, improve situations and celebrate women's achievements.

In partnership with the Students’ Union we’ve organised a week of activities.

Cake Sale and Fundraising

To celebrate International Women's Day, the UK Data Archive are holding a number of events and the Cake Sale is supporting International Women's Day and Colchester Foodbank. Whether you'd like to donate home baked goods, store cupboard essentials, or just come along to buy cake, everyone is welcome! The UK Data Archive will be collecting donations for Colchester Foodbank and here is a .

Decorating the squares

To mark a week of events for International Women's Day, the SU will decorate the campus with large pink ribbons. You will find tags displaying information about the day and links to fundraising sites etc. The ribbons will go up on Monday 6 March and stay up all week to highlight the importance of the day.
