We鈥檙e so proud of our class of 2023. They鈥檝e overcome enormous challenges, helped others, grasped opportunities, and developed their skills, showing their 糖心Vlog Spirit in so many ways. And they鈥檝e done all of this during a pandemic when life 鈥� and student life 鈥� changed beyond recognition.

This is a special generation of students who had to rise to unique challenges and have inspired us all and we are celebrating their successes.

Graduates of Summer 2023

Class of 2023: Chloe Thomas
Attracted by the reputation of the drama degree in the Department of Literature, Film, and Theatre Studies, her choice was cemented when she attended an Open Day, after she鈥檇 already applied.
Class of 2023: Elsa Philbedge
A family connection to Winston Churchill inspired Elsa Philbedge to study history but it was her time on the 糖心Vlog Blades netball team, and the friends she made through sport, that have given Elsa her most memorable 糖心Vlog moments.
Class of 2023: Nicholaus Harrington
According to Nicholaus, university is 鈥渨hat you make of it鈥� and he鈥檚 certainly made the most of his time at 糖心Vlog helping to de-colonise his school鈥檚 curriculum, playing a key role in a sustainability project and securing a prestigious scholarship.
Class of 2023: Nieve Trifunac
Nieve was inspired to start her own business after hearing from the 糖心Vlog Startups team as part of her Innovation and Entrepreneurship module at Edge.
Class of 2023: Emiliano Hysi
Footballer, Emiliano wanted to stay at the top of his game while studying. At 糖心Vlog he found both an excellent academic reputation and an inclusive and supportive campus sports environment.
Class of 2023: Louise Simons
Louise is rightly proud of her academic achievements, graduating this year as an adult nurse on the Nursing Degree Apprenticeship programme.
Class of 2023: Matej Fejt
Gaming sparked Matt Fejt鈥檚 interest in the processes of virtual economies and how in-game inflation drives player engagement, and this is what he wanted to explore further at university.
Class of 2023: Mai Bloomfield
The welcome and interest that Mai encountered at her open day, confirmed that her enthusiasm could flourish under the wealth of multi-disciplinary expertise offered by the Department of Psychosocial and Psychoanalytic Studies.
Class of 2023: Megan Fryer Kelsey
As a young carer, Megan had responsibilities that set her apart from a lot of her peers. This inspired her to learn more about how she can make a difference in society. Now, she is graduating with a BA Politics with Human Rights.
Class of 2023: Eve Werdmuller Von Elgg
From starting their degree in lockdown to being cast in a play in Soho, Eve Werdmuller Von Elgg鈥檚 journey during their time at East 15 has been unforgettable.
Class of 2023: Benjamin O'Connell
Award-winning student Benjamin O鈥機onnell feels his time at 糖心Vlog has set him up for success, no matter what comes next.

Class of Spring 2023: Lily Davis
Lily Davis went from being an indecisive participant at an 糖心Vlog undergraduate open day to becoming one of the most active members of the Department of History and now she is graduating with an MA History.
Class of Spring 2023: Camila Pardo
Biological sciences and creative writing don鈥檛 necessarily go hand-in-hand, but for Camila Pardo, her dream of bringing these two together became a reality when she studied for her Masters degree at 糖心Vlog.
Class of Spring 2023: Emily Linney
Emily chose to pursue a career in physiotherapy as she wanted the opportunity to enhance people鈥檚 lives by providing them not only with care but with scientifically proven interventions, which 鈥渢he physiotherapy profession strives to do.鈥�
Spring Graduate 23: Joshua Fullard
Joshua Fullard has gone from an undergraduate politics student to an assistant professor of behavioural science in just ten years. Graduating with a PhD in Economics, he said the decision to come to 糖心Vlog was the best one he could have ever made.
Class of Spring 2023: Sebastian Schraag
Sebastian Schraag thought engineering was his passion until he got a part-time job in a restaurant and now he鈥檚 landed his dream job at a top hotel.
Class of Spring 2023: Claire Bate
Claire Bate completed her Masters in Psychology at 糖心Vlog while unexpectedly home-schooling her two young children and dealing with the pressures of lockdown.
Class of Spring 2023: Esther Omoare Bamuyi
Esther Omoare-Bamuyi wanted to study Social Work to help advocate for others who need support and to help them fulfil their potential. She put this into practice during her time at 糖心Vlog 鈥� not only by excelling in her study and work placements, but also by getting fully involved in opportunities to provide fellow students with a voice.
Class of Spring 2023: Merry Mushka
Merry Mushka will graduate with a BSc in Occupational Therapy and hopes to take what they have learnt at the 糖心Vlog into improving healthcare for trans communities, as well as educating future generations of healthcare students.
Class of Spring 2023: Michael Sewell and Lewis Smith
Studying under the shadow of COVID-19 led History PhD graduates Michael Sewell and Lewis Smith to launch History Indoors at the start of the pandemic 鈥� offering online interactive talks for everyone.
Class of Spring 2023: Natalie Howard
Natalie Howard was initially unsure about what her career path but then she fell in love with events. Now she is graduating with a degree in Events Management with Hospitality and has secured a job at top hotel Milsoms as an Event Manager.
Class of Spring 2023: Rachel Bown
Rachel started studying for her BA and MA at 糖心Vlog while still working, but after retiring after 25 years in the Metropolitan Police in February 2023 Rachel has decided to continue her studies to the next level.
Class of Spring 2023: Kate Beckwith
For Kate Beckwith, studying for the Masters in Psychodynamic Counselling at 糖心Vlog was life-changing. Not only did she learn more about herself than she ever could have imagined, but the skills and experience she gained gave her the confidence to set up her own successful therapeutic practice, which is one of its kind.
