60 Stories: Fighting for the rights of the Innu

For the past 30 years, Professor Colin Samson has been a vocal opponent of the erosion of the Innu’s land rights and its devastating impact on their health and wellbeing. Despite the Innu suffering the trauma of being forced off their land, Professor Samson’s research has documented that maintaining nature-based activities is how they can successfully cope with their new life – healthier and happier.
